during the production of MULAN I did very
often sketches like this to get into the
'MULAN-mood'. once in a while I even added
my own invented 'chinese' calligraphy. you
can see a sample on the opening page of
the MULAN book, the black horse. chinese
art is fascinating, it is like the writing
in chinese. and some of the paintings
look like calligraphy. complete balance,
yin and yang..
